Topic/Skill: Conversation skills, improving productive vocabulary
Feedback provided to tutee: My tutee mentioned she was having a hard time learning vocabulary for her class so we went over some vocabulary together. We also worked on improving my tutee's productive vocabulary and pronunciation. Additionally, we did some casual conversation and I provided her with some feedback on how to make her conversations more fluid and natural sounding.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned:
I learned more about the Chinese education system as we talked about the Chinese college entrance exam. We also talked about visa applications and how my tutee applied to get a visa to come to the United States. I had no idea the visa process was so long and involved because my tutee even hired someone to help her with the visa interview.
