Teacher Presentation: The teacher started the class by writing a topic of the lesson on the white-board ("Marriage") Further, he initiated a warm-up activity by encouraging the students to get up and walk to the white-board and write one new vocabulary word from their homework assignment. They went over each word's spelling accuracy and meaning. As a pre-lesson activity, the students had to read the text, which they would listen later in class, and to memorize the new vocabulary. After that, the teacher played the audio one time, while the students listened an took notes. This was followed up with a brief group discussion of the general idea of the audio. The teacher made sure, the students were ready for the more detailed exercises such as fill the blank exercises, pair discussion, answer the teacher's questions using the new vocabulary. The students eagerly completed their tasks; everyone was actively engaged in a lively discussion on the subject of marriage. The teacher created a friendly atmosphere by sharing his personal life story about his marriage and elaborated on the issue of commitment. He ended the lesson with a few idiomatic expressions like "put a ring on it", "to be taken", "for better or for worse", the students chimed in with "till death do us part".
The students were reminded of their homework assignment and dismissed. It was an overall a very interactive class, which undoubtedly, allowed the student an opportunity to learn in a highly-controlled environment.
