Topic discussed: Colloquialisms. Patrick & I like to indulge in the peculiarities of vernacular English. "A foot in the door" or "a foot in one's mouth"? These two colloquial expressions can present a tough choice if one does not know their meaning:) Thankfully, we had the two identified and clarified. Now I know which phrase to use when I feel embarrassed versus how to describe, that I got a chance at highjacking someone's attention. Each of the two phrases relays to either situation respectively.
