Topic Discussed: American holidays, public transportation, food culture, and ways of life
Today my conversation came with many questions prepared about American life and culture so we spent the majority of the time discussing these topics. Since today is also the Mid-Autumn Festival, she shared some of the traditions of this Chinese holiday. In return, I discussed holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving and how they are celebrated in the United States. She was also really curious about public transportation in the United States and so we talked about the different ways of travel. I think some of these topics are things she has been covering in class so she wanted to get another perspective on ways of life in the US. Overall this was a very interesting Conversation partner session!
