In our meeting earlier today, my
Tutee asked if I would help him with some questions. He wanted me to send him
some questions about Lake Ella to which he would respond (practice his writing
skills). I agreed gladly. I sent him several questions to answer via email. He
responded and then I responded subsequently late in the evening. The morning of
the next day I followed up with more questions for him. My questions focused on
“beautiful mistakes” to which I hope to draw his attention. He is intrinsically
motivated and wants to receive guidance. Specifically, I aimed at facilitating his
thinking about grammar and word usage. There were several places where he could
improve his writing (capitalization, RO, grammar, and word usage). I am looking
forward to his follow-up responses.
