Topic of Discussion: New vocabulary, open and closed vowels in reading.
Today Patrick taught me a new word: "pejorative" which can be both an adjective, used to express contempt or disapproval and a noun, that describes a word, expressing the above. We also reviewed the rules of open and closed vowels, taught in the class. We shared that the theory, used in the class, was new to the one we learned in school back in the day. I liked the new approach of using the "guardian consonant" term and found it easier to grasp.
