Olivia CP#2

On Friday, September 14th, I took Maria to try one of my favorite restaurants in town, Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack. There, we shared 12 raw oysters, 12 steamed oysters, and 12 baked oysters topped with Parmesan cheese and garlic. Here we decided to continue our conversation partner exchanges at different restaurants in town. We talked about the American political system and how it differs from the Danish political system,. I was surprised to know that Denmark has a monarchy. We also talked about universities in Denmark, which apparently pay you to study, and made jokes about me transferring to a university in Denmark. It would definitely be nice to have a stream of income despite not working! I told her how most American students either work, take out loans, get scholarships, or have their parents help out to pay for university. For many, it is a mix of many sources of income. I shared my own experience as someone who has scholarships, works part time, and has a very loving mother who also helps out when needed. Overall, both are very different systems.
