On Tuesday, September 4th, I observed a speaking class at CIES. The students were assigned a speech that they had to write on what their values are and then present it to the class. The teacher modeled the assignment by showing a few videos of Kwong Yue Yang, a second place winner for the Toastmasters International. In this video, Yang talked about how he learned what kind of job he wanted, and how it lead him to find that what he really values is entertaining guests and sports. Then, the class discussed what would be good ways  to introduce the topic to the class. I was a part of the discussion, and I got the opportunity to discuss what would be some good ways to hook the class into the speech.
