Topic Discussed: Restaurants, Food, and life in Tallahassee
Today with my conversation partner we discussed life in Tallahassee compared to life in Seoul. It is always interesting to hear the perspectives of international students, especially because Tallahassee can sometimes be a difficult city to live independently without a car. We also talked about some words that are unable to be translated from Korean to English or vice versa. For example, when talking about someone who makes dentures, there is a word for it in Korean but not a word in English. Overall my conversation partner is extremely friendly and speaks very clearly. We went over some vocabulary words as they arose and I defined a few words but overall this was very casual conversational speaking practice.
