Topic
Discussed: Editing using a Typed Copy
For
this lesson, I prepared a typed copy of my Tutee’s most recent revisions of her
narrative. I thought the typed copy would provide a fresh perspective for this
project. I observed as my Tutee read the narrative silently and aloud. I was
quite pleased to learn that my Tutee observed and celebrated her progress. She also discovered a few more places to correct errors and improve her narrative.
At
one point, she focused specifically on the section of text she worked on during the last lesson. She was properly pleased about
the manner in which she had worked out a logical way of presenting ideas in a
sequential fashion. She celebrated how much writing progress she had achieved.
This was indeed a “Kodak Moment”.
