Later that evening on Friday, September 14th, I invited Maria over to my house. She met my brother, Paul, and the three of us went to my friend's house. There she met some other friends of mine. Maria had mentioned to me earlier that she was looking for friends, so I wanted to make sure she had some! We all talked about Denmark, the United States, dating culture in both, what it is like to be a student, gap years, study abroad, and much more. My friend Joe was recently accepted to the FSU study abroad program in Costa Rica. He asked Maria if Danish students study in other countries. She said that its common for students to do gap years, as she is doing, rather than doing a study abroad trip. Overall, we all had a good time. Maria, Paul, and myself all returned to my apartment, and we continued to chit chat, it was a lot of fun!
