Olivia TS#2
Today I met with Domingos at the Starbucks inside of Strozier. Today was our first time meeting, so we chatted a bit so that I could know what level of English he speaks. He told me he was a lawyer in Brazil, where he practiced business law. He is from a small town in Brazil, so he quite likes Tallahassee and its size. In the spring he is going to start an L.L.M. degree at the College of Law, so learning how to write well is a top priority for him. He asked me about the United States government and how elections work because he is interested in knowing how it works. I explained to him the three branches of government and how they interact with each other, as well as how the electoral college works. I think that he has a great opportunity to learn about the American government by studying in Tallahassee. We arranged to meet again this Friday.
